Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
The Clinical Pharmacist is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays to provide appointments for medication reviews for patients taking 3 or less regular medications, blood pressure reviews and advice and guidance on over-the-counter and prescription medications. Caroline has appointments available at both the Sherburn and Rillington Practice. The dispensers have daily contact with Caroline to answer queries and acute medication requests from patients.
If you need to contact a district nurse you can contact the receptionists at either the Sherburn or Rillington Surgery who can relay a message to them on your behalf. The District nurse can then either manage any queries or ring you back.
